Maybe some scents are better than others.

Go Walmart and try the Better Homes & Garden brand. They sell other brands but you must get this one. If you don't like it, you are only out $2 and no postage.

I have never tried Cross Roads, but Nene's Kitchen Melts are fantastic. They are 1.10 per melt, and they smell wonderful, super strong and great, fast shipping! I have been ordering from her for years......Easy website too! I also recently tried Cuyahoga and they were really good too!

I love Crossroads candles, they are great but do not like their wax melts.  Their Buttered Maple Syrup candle is my favorite so a few years ago I ordered that scent in a wax melt thinking I could still get my favorite scent even when not burning a candle but they hardley have any throw at all.  the best ones I have found are Better Homes and Gardens from Walmart and Goosecreek.

I bought some Yankee Candle melts at Walmart.  About 98 cents more than the Better Homes and Gardens melts.  They are powerful, and they last a long time.  I only need to plug in my melter for about 10 minutes, and my whole home is fragrant.

I've now used the same cube 4 times!  I've never had any last that long.
