Cracker Barrel Christmas!! Wow!

Well, we went for our monthly meal at CB this afternoon. All I can say is wow! The most beautiful things. They are putting out a few more things as the fall and Halloween decorations begin to dwindle down. They have the most beautiful owl luminary. It's at least 14" high and a good 10" wide. Beautiful color and, of course the bottom is pierced so that the luminary can shine through. The owl has snow on it's wings and at it's feet there is holly with red berries. The expression on the owl is so gentle. I'm telling you ladies, it took my breath away it was so beautiful.

There are a lot of retro decorations for the home and the old timey mercury glass ornaments for your tree.

One lady was in line and I overheard her say that she could not believe that they were already putting out Christmas decorations. I was right behind her and said, "Well, I can't believe I am buying them, but I haven't seen one of these in over 60 years (60 is as far as I will go back{#emotions_dlg.biggrin})! And we both laughed. I bought a Santa's head that has a light In the back. It's big, about 24" high and you hang it in your window. I remember seeing them and even having one when I was a child -- like I said -- over 60 years ago.{#emotions_dlg.lol} I got it because I don't really know when we will get to go back. Our daughter is very good about taking us occasionally as she knows how much I enjoy going. CB sells out of things and then doesn't get any more so I didn't want to take a chance on missing it.

Oh, I also got a cute pair of owl salt and pepper shakers. Not quite as cute as Valerie's, but I will enjoy using them and they weren't but $5.99 for the set. They were the last set, so I was hanging on to them the whole time we were there!{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Anyway, we had a good meal and I had a good time looking at everything and touching what I could reach!
