I don't know when you're headed to Cuba (after Passover?) but if you are able to take photos, I would LOVE to see firsthand some "modern" photos of any colorful houses/architecture that you see.

I am back.  So far I’ve only downloaded old car photos!

Unfortunately, due to long time construction /  repair restrictions, old homes have taken a beating, including vandalism, and weather.  ☹️ New homes have not quite gotten off the ground yet.

 

I am am not an ‘uppity’ American who criticizes what is not like home, but building, revitalization, restoration have been severely limited there for @60 years due to production, import and spending restrictions.

It's really cute!  I would prefer an all red door, however.
