LOVE THE CAT.  I also like the rest. Very cool how they painted the steps.  The rest is very beautifully put together.

I love everything about this including the kitty.  I agree with the beach vibe- looks like a charming summer cottage.Sigh. Is it summer yet??? I know, stop whining!

I don't like the wallpaper, furry rug, or light fixture. The painted stairs might seem like a cool and different idea but I bet it would get old real fast so I would definitely not paint my stairs.

Sets off the cat nicely.  Good choice.

On second thought, I would have put the wallpaper up the staircase wall as well.  I think it REALLY needs to be there to balance things out and ground the staircase.  And it would draw your eye upward too.  Now it is just blah on the other side of the stairs.  

I'd ditch the fiddly things on the staircase wall and put up some piece of green art or a mirror with green frame or green object or something up there instead. 

And in my world, go big or go home!  DO it, or leave it alone!
