Ask if the the doors you want are in stock or need to be ordered. The supply chain is bonkers right now with backups on orders.

This past winter my heatpump on the roof (very common in AZ) stopped working and needed a part. Waited about 6 weeks for it to be delivered and other 2 to have it installed. My repair person is very reliable and has been replacing/repairing the units for over 20 years so I know I wasn't being given the run around.

I appreciate all the responses.  It is a lot of work and time, for sure, to ensure one gets get the quality of build in a home project.  And even then, things can go wrong, right away or down the road, with time and wear.

I have come to see that, realistically, if expectations are set then that is the standard to go by, and there is less chance for disappointment.

Understanding what the project involves, involves work.  I think my upcoming door project will go very well.  I see little negative about his qualification, the qualifications of his crew, nor the quality of the product itself.
