@lolakimono  Love your posts.  I'm sure you are a great teacher, but you missed your calling,  You should have been a fashion designer or home decorator!    Please keep your posts coming and entertain us.

@KathyM23

Thank you!Heart

I minored in art, so fashion/decor are not that different. I like to see the patterns, colors and textures that others use in their houses.  I am always surprised by some of the comments on here- such diverse tastes!

Works for me!  I like all of these pics.  I like the continuing wallpaper and I love the color choices.

Re: Continuing Wallpaper Throughout a Space

As kids, my sister and I peeled miles of wallpaper.  My father wallpapered anything that was standing still.

No to the wallpaper, but I'd be fine if it was painted a color throughout the house.

Lots of wallpaper is never a good thing.
Too formal and don’t like anything except the wainscoting and wood.

No to wallpaper, and I don’t like that shade of blue.

That looks like grass cloth which is very elegant, totally unlike wallpaper.  The space would looked very chopped up without using this paper in this manner because of the choppy space.  It holds it all together and makes it look better than it would otherwise.  Paint is nice but elegance is wonderful.

Re: Continuing Wallpaper Throughout a Space

I think the spaces look relatively nice, though it is a lot of wallpaper. More to the point for me is that I'm not a big fan of grasscloth, which this looks to be and which seems to have now been a huge trend among decorators for the past several years. Anyone affording this home is not likely concerned about the cost of removing this volume of wallpaper, but most average homeowners would have a yeoman's task to do so and then prepare all these walls for whatever might replace it...

Re: Continuing Wallpaper Throughout a Space

I have one of these areas that are semi open to hallways and rooms and we experienced that same question. I think it looks great!   That's the same decision that we made. I mean, where do you make the break? You can see the hallway or room from the other and all the spaces are rather narrow. Beautiful shade of blue....It's your home, if you like it then that's all that matters.

Re: Continuing Wallpaper Throughout a Space

The wallpaper in this house is okay, but I always say no to wallpaper and yes to painting in this blue instead. There are also several textures out there that can make paint look different on the wall. Must have been a good markdown on the wallpaper.
