I love those ideas. @GenXmuse  I couldn't agree more. I get it that some folks always have an eye on resale, but that's not my focus. For as long as I'm living in my home and am planning to live in my home, my goal is to please me. Moreover, while realtors seem to love to tell sellers what they can and should do to help move a house (and hence to make their job easier...) it's also been said that there's a buyer for every seller. I'm not going to try to guess what some amorphous future buyer might prefer in my home and try to accommodate him or her in the here and now. I'd add that it's always an each to their own choice, but I'd prefer basic white to stainless... If I wanted an industrial looking kitchen, I'd have trained as a chef...

I'd love to have a turquoise refrigerator.  I found a company online that specializes in colored appliances but they were extremely expensive plus you of course must pay for shipping.  So, I'll  just keep dreaming.

I have heard of people having appliances painted at auto body shops but never seriously investigated it.

I have a 6 year old stainless steel glass cooktop stove with a glossy purple painted interior. My husband says the inside of the oven looks like a tricked out '57 Chevy. 🤣

I like all of the colors (well, except for the green) but I can't imagine I'd ever go with anything other than Stainless Steel or Black.

On the season finale of Good Bones several weeks ago, they ended up building a new house on an empty lot.  They put in a very expensive appliance package that was a glossy white with gold accessories on all the pieces.  It was absolutely stunning but, again, not something I would ever pick for myself when it came down to it.  The homeowner was an Indianapolis Colts football player and his wife.

I agree with you both.  My home is being decorated to my tastes.  I have to live here and have no plans to sale.  I purchased my home even though I hated the paint colors, the carpet colors, the kitchen lighting, and the wall paper in half bath.  But I could see the potential.  I imagined the space updated with my choices

I love the colored appliances, it adds a fun interest.  I especially like the rich blues.

I always joke that I dream of a La Cornue piece of art in my kitchen.

Silver is the only color I could live with long term without getting tired of it.

Must be why we always buy silver vehicles. We keep them for 20 yrs plus. LOL!!!

I love the Ink Blue and the Black, and black could be considered rather neutral.......
