I was in TJ Maxx yesterday and was so excited because I found all these really nice colored glass vases. Some were large enough to put your hand down inside and place a flameless candle in them. I found one that I really liked in a burnt orange color. I was thinking what an awesome price for $12.99 because it was big, thick, and heavy. So I purchased it and this morning I decided to remove some of the fingerprints before I put my flameless candle inside. It was not colored glass but was covered on the outside with some sort of colored film. I did not even think about that when I went to clean it. The colored film washed right off. I should have known it was not colored glass for that price but it did not dawn on me until I was cleaning it. I now have one of those greenish recycled glass vases. It's still nice, heavy, and thick but not nearly as pretty without the color. I'm not a huge fan of the recycled glass look. Do they even sell real colored glass anymore?
