It is very sad that a lot of collectibles have hardly any value.

My mom had a lot of Hummels. My dad bought them years ago when he was in the military 50 yrs ago or more. 7 of us kids got some of them but my dad's wife at the time gave some to her daughter? plus sold some for her booze. Sad but true.

I have a few of them plus the Hummel Lamps. I have not idea of value. I don't care they were my moms.

Nightowlzz Thank you.  The little wooden and tin box on the left side of the hearth is a carriage foot warmer.  It has a little box in it.  The basket is from the turn of the century.

I had no idea what it was. I like all of it. Guess I like older stuff better then new stuff. I saw a lot of things in St. Augustine Fl. liked that at different places we went to. I don't know the places since my sister took us. There was a lot of neat stuff. Loved the Lightner Museum I think it was called. Would love to go back.

For fun (since we have so much time on your hands), you might enjoy googleing and google imaging "antique kitchen antiques".  There are quite a few on ebay as well.  I'll be glad to help you with pics .

At the top is a noodle cutter (green handle).  It isn't too old, probably the 40's or 50's.  Tin strainer, (diagonal) a potato paddle to pull potatoes out of a fire, a meat fork, a child's sifter, very old hand beater, my great grandmother's ice cream scoup, a cone shaped Victorian ice cream scoop with a turn handle for the little scraper inside.  A baker for corn bread sticks, spice grater, Victorian animal head muffin tin

Child's ice cream churn on the right.  30's, 40's.

These milk bottles had a bulb on them to collect the cream.  The metal is a whisk!

I cleaned my curio cabinet this past week. Have Hummels and love them. I also have Byers choice carolers. After I finished my husband had to help me up. Less went back in. Wrapped them and put them away. Just glad it is done.

Like many of you, my collectibles are from years past. I have a tall and narrow glass curio cabinet that used to contain nothing but Lladro, but I've pared that down over the years. Now I only display 3 or 4 of them along with 2 Royal Doulton ladies, a few small pieces of Waterford (a pear and a strawberry are my favorites) and a couple of family pieces that came over from Norway in the 1870s, plus a few very special family photos.

I love all the photos posted....the beautiful bells, the antique kitchen items and those wonderful cookie jars! Thanks for sharing!
