I like the artwork except for the blue and white toilet bowl looking one.   I think the scenic one is really nice but I feel they are meant to hang closer together??  Either way, it's pretty and the room has a comfort vibe to it.

I don't think the art is particularly good in this room. Especially the item which appears on the left wall ---which I don't even know what it is?  I also don't like the light fixture hanging down which looks cheap and rather like a paper lantern of some type.  I don't think the night stand --- a green color and the other dresser type thing in a natural wood seem to mesh.  I like the bed, the bedding, the stool at the foot of the bed and the rugs. This rooms needs some re-working.

@AngelPuppy1    I agree.... Everything looks "dated" to me.  I could not sleep with that big lantern over the bed.  The pine branch in the bottle looks odd to me...and the artwork just doesn't work.  But that's just my opinion.  🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't like the artwork at all with this bedroom, but I do like the bed and bedding!

The whole bedroom just doesn't work for me and I also feel it looks dated.....especially the hanging lantern, the bench at the foot of the bed and the two piece artwork on the end wall.  The blue toilet bowl looks stupid and out of place.  I don't think it is actually a toilet bowl but that's the first thing that popped into my head and other posters have said the same thing.

@lolakimono   I think the artwork does go with the room for the most part.  The royal blue/navy piece on the wall does seem to me like the "elephant in the room" even though it does mimic other shapes used.  I like that part of it and would use a different background color.  I feel the individual pieces all fit very well.

Oh, my goodness.......no.  The first thing I noticed was the pic over the chair.  Looks like a toilet to me.  The rest of it makes no sense.  The light over the bed??  Wouldn't be able to sleep under that.  However, as someone else said, it looks like a paper lantern, so maybe it wouldn't hurt too bad if it fell Smiley Happy.  All in all, don't like the room.  Looks stark and cold.

I think it's reasonably well done and I think the soft green is lovely.  I am not drawn to the upholstery on the headboard or bed frame, though.  It seems busy (and must there always be grey?).

Are you talking about artwork in the sense of decor or art?  To me those are two different things.

The room is retro, mid-century and comtemporary artwork would the the appropriate thing.

But if you put up a traditional painting it could be done as well.  I see many very formal traditional rooms with contemporary art,  and vice versa.

So no I don't think you have to suit art to a room or room to art.  If you love and cherish a piece, it will go with the other things you love and cherish.

If you bought it to go with a room, that's a whole different deal.
