@lolakimono Too too bland and boring. The only things I like are the night stands and the bed tray. Nothing else and get rid of that light fixture!

take the bed out and put in uncomfortable seating and it would look to me like a waiting room . I agree that the one piece of art looks like a strange toliet. I like window coverings in my bedroom . ( my neighbors probably appreciate them also
) I can see at least one of my feline daughters swinging on that center light .

Not pleasing to my eye

While it is not my style at all, they did a good job of mirroring the the pic on the far wall with the stack of books under the nightstands. The "toilet" pic is out of place and only coordinates with the blanket on the bench.

If we are just commenting on art work I think it does work. The lines in the art work are soft, and that makes it pleasing to the eye. I also like that they mix it up, so it adds interest to the room.

I like this room. The art work compliments the style and vibe of the room.
The blue vase/whatever art is something I would have to replace. It seems to compliment the throw at the foot of the bed but I really dislike it.
The big ball light fixture is another item I would replace..other than that I think its a clean airy room.
A larger leafy green tree in the corner would make it more warm and welcoming.

I don't know how these examples can be called artwork. It takes no talent to paint something like this. Cohesive or not, they leave me with an "ugh" feeling.
I don't think about things like cohesion when I'm decorating. I trust my eyes. Rarely have I been wrong. Glad I won't be graded on this.
From those high windows and slanted roof, this looks like a 1950's middle class modern ranch found in a boring suburban neighborhood with the bedroom pretty much in sync.
Not that all suburban neighborhoods are boring. Many are not.
Other than the bed looking like it might be cozy, the room is cold and uninviting to me. Designers could have made this bedroom special and still used mid-century modern decor. Instead, they said "no creativity need apply."

Cohesion -No.
This room has potential... light and space. Unfortunately, I would strip the room and begin again. The only furnishing I would keep would be the bed without the bedding. I would start with replacing/removing the doors, the flooring, the light fixtures, and the popcorn on the ceiling.
I understand each of us has different aesthetics, interesting reading the different reviews. There is no right/wrong...just different opinions and, ultimately, what pleases the occupant.

I'm not a fan of this room or the artwork in it.
However, I do have opinions on artwork in general. I think artwork should be meaningful to the homeowner, and I think the homeowner has the responsibility of choosing the right location in the house to display it.
What I don't like is when people choose artwork based on their color scheme of a room. They look for the colors of the couch, and the rug and the drapes in some painting that they don't really even like. In doing so they create a space that is contrived rather than inspired.
What I find is that we are all drawn to certain colors and styles. If you choose something you really love, I think most of the time it just goes with everything else you have.
And if you see something you love, and it doesn't "go", buy it anyway and make it work.
