I'd simply suggest there's more than one definition of 'coastal'. The popular concept involving blues and sand colors, nautical accessories and a 'beachy', cottage or lake vibe aren't the only iterations... It was said at the outset, this is a more tropical interpretation of the look... Just as the usual coastal look isn't universally appreciated, neither would be this look. That's fine. More choices and we each make our own. Smiley Happy

Just as a personal opinion, I prefer "coastal" in the New England sense and not the tropical sense.  I do like this room however, but I'm not crazy about the wall color.
