Colored lights...No theme to my tree, just a mish-mash of ornaments, some my kids made in school, others collected here and there over the years, and picture frame ornaments with pictures of both of my kids each year from the time they were babies. I love my tree! It won't win any decorating awards, but it is so personal to our family.

We have multiple trees. Two with white (clear) more traditional. Two with colored lights, more fun. We have both white (clear) and colored lights outside.

I prefer white lights, although I love Multi as well......We did multi when our girls were little, as that is what they preferred though! Now I do white lights!

Your tree sounds like the kind of tree I like too. Colored lights with lots of ornaments that have some sort of meaning. Others, while pretty, seem to look like they are some generic store display. Kind of like the way LR has her trees decorated.

And please, no motion. No blinking. No disco-rama... Just lights. Inside or out. Thanks...

Since we do multiple trees, they are all different. Our LR tree is done with clear lights because I think it's elegant, some are multi. Most of the porch and deck lights are multi because DH loves the colored lights. I also like the clear because they don't seem to take away from all the ornaments that I use. I love seeing other peoples trees and homes that are decorated differently than mine, that's what makes it fun and interesting. Merry Christmas to all.

I like both, but DH prefers the clear/white lights. So those go on our tree and all the ornaments and other decorations add the color.Smiley Happy

I've got a ton of lights, smooth clear mini lights, faceted clear mini lights, gold mini lights, multi colored mini lights and opaque C7's. Last year we did the C7's.

The tree I have in the front window has clear lights. It goes with my theme of clear lit candles in all my front windows. The main tree in our family room has colored lights. Its beautiful!

Multi colored lights on trees in living room and family room. Both trees are old fashioned style with a mixture of glass ornaments, some made by the children throughout the years, and ornaments bought on our travels. We do have white lights on both fireplace mantles and staircase banister. The outside is a mix of multi and white lights.
