Anyone have a reccomendation for a dusting dust bunnies (AKA dog/cat hair) from my hardwood floors?  I have a Shark with the floor dusting attachment, but sometimes I just want something quick and easy.  Right now i am using dust mop with throw away dust catchers.

Re: Cleaning suggestion ?????

I am a big fan of the swiffer dusting system.  Both daughters have long hair that gets tracked out of the bathroom and their bedrooms, all over the house.   The hair sticks to those dusting cloths and makes cleanup so much easier.   I hate dragging out my vacuum cleaners, but have thought about buying a stick vacuum.

You need to get the Don Aslet mop. $25, a little pricy but I have had mine for 11 years. Can use it wet or dry and the pads are washable in your washer machine. No bucket of dirty water. As you go and want to rinse the pad, take it off and rinse under your faucett.

I love these! I have two cats (used to be three) and a dog and some hardwood floors. Use this every day to dry/dust mop and as needed for wet mopping. I've had mine for many years as well. Was thinking of getting the latest model just because, but talked myself out of it because there is nothing wrong with the old one. Pads are still great.

I like this item, as it is simple, no buckets, stores in very little space. Only thing it lacks in the ability to sanitize, like a steam mop type thing. Can use just water, or your favorite cleaner.

I love my Don Aslett mop too. Mine has a dust mop pad that is used dry between moping to just get up things like dust bunnies and hair. I have very dark laminate floors and it works great.

As the owner of ALOT of HW floors I have found the O'Cedar dual action mop to be my HG of quick cleaning. The blue noodle side graps dust and hair and the white side cleans & shines. I mist one side with vinegar water and away I go.  I have 5 mop heads as I dust the floors almost daily.

Rubbermaid makes a mop with a set of velcro microfiber cleaning cloths. There is one for damp mopping and another for dust mopping that picks up dust and hair.

You really should not pour any floor cleaning water,or sponge mop ,into your kitchen sink, and no washing hands in kitchen sick, go to bath room to do this, buckets of water can br flushed down toilet.

Not sure why are you saying this.  Is it for sanitary reasons or will it clog up the drain?

I do dump floor mopping water/carpet cleaning water down the toilet.  I wash my hands in the sink all the time.

I do disenfect the sink at least once a day and always before preparing food.

For sanitary reasons, our kitchen sinks ,we use for washing our dishes, pots and pans, sometimes people just don't think before they empty things down it.
