Cleaning a leather sofa?

Hi everyone - I'm usually in fashion or food, but I have a question I'm hoping you can help with. I have a leather sofa, and have noticed it's smelling rather musky. I use a leather cleaner on it a couple of times a year, but it's not helping with the odor (which is probably from my cats....). Anyone have any suggestions as to how to deep clean it safely? Oh, and I also have a dark green mark on it - I think one of the kitties (or maybe the possum who used to come in and visit every day) got something from the outdoors on it - sap or ???? Anyone ever try a Magic Eraser on leather?
