Clay Cleaning Compound - Gets an "F"

in my opinion.  Forgot I bought it once - bought it again.  (stupid memory)     You have to rub and rub and rub to get clay soft .  Then rub and rub and rub it on your soiled surface.  409 and Fantastic = squirt squirt  rub rub = done

(or Softscrub on stainless)

Re: Clay Cleaning Compound - Gets an "F"

I have used the Bio cleaner for years.  I like that it doesn't have any offensive odors.  I don't like the harsh cleaning products smell.  I like that it is natural.

I do agree that the clay is hard to come off at times, so where I use it now is my shower glass.  All the other cleaning products that WORK to get the soap scum off smells bad and gives me a headache.  The Bio cleaner takes the scum off easily and I rinse and wipe it with a towel afterwards.  It is sparkling clean without any smell.  I love it for that.

As long as you know what you're buying, but the presentation of the product makes it seem like it will easily remove any kind of mess and that's just not true. If your looking for a light weight cleaning product that is not harsh then you would no doubt be happy with the CCC. It gets an F from me too.

I buy a jar of loose bentonite clay powder and use it just as you would any other powdered cleaner. Bentonite clay is very cheap and easy to find anywhere. It's from the earth and safe to use. Makes stainless steel come alive and ceramic tile shine like new.

I really like Bio Cleaner clay, use it often, and have shared it with family and friends, who also like it. I also have the Bio Cleaner spray (shared around as well), which is great because it's easy to use, but depending on what you're cleaning, the clay sometimes does a better job.

For the life of me I don't understand how this stuff works on such cruddy pots & pans that have muck blow torched onto them.  The crumb tray of my toaster oven has burned on melted butter on it and Bio Clean doesn't clean it.  Same with my black gas stovetop that has white ring stains around the burners.  What am I doing wrong?

ETA-- how did that grill get so dirty in the same area within 2 hours.  These demoes baffle me.

I mostly use the Bio cleaner on my glass-top stove and it does the job. I should probably be more diligent and use it in the shower. That's another story....lol.

Thanks for the alert re: Bentonite Clay Powder.

I'll have to give it a try.

Speaking of things powder............Anyone here remember small cans of tooth powder (instead of tooth paste)?

I don't know if I'm imagining this, but I recall seeing flat oval upright cans of tooth powder when I was a child........

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Re: Clay Cleaning Compound - Gets an "F"

I love this stuff, and won't be without it.

It's not a miracle worker. Not much is. But it cleans and shines stainless unlike any other thing I've ever used. I clean my sink with it every couple of days, and my stainless pots and pans with every use.

I've found that if you have really dirty stainless pans, burned on stuff for years, you need to soak them in oven cleaner in a garbage bag overnight, then once clean, keep them clean using the bio cleaner with every washing, and no old build up for the future.

I use it on our fiberglass showers sometime, bathroom sink and fixtures too. It cleans glass and ceramic that gets stuck on foods, or water spotted as well too.

I don't have an issue with how hard the clay is, I wet the sponge and wipe it over the top of the clay. It actually works better if it isn't too wet and runny, but a bit on the dry side anyway.
