Re: Classic or cluttered ?

Too much.  I wouldn't feel comfortable visiting, even for a short time and I absolutely hate gold tone frames.

Looks like a furniture gallery to me....all that's missing are the price tags!

While each piece is very nice, there is just too many items, lol. Way too crowded for me. I don't think I could breathe much less relax in this room. Whew!

The individual pieces are very nice but there is a lot of clutter.

Why is there a picture hanging on furniture?  I don't get that at all.

Pretty picture ... but there's no way I'm dusting all of that.

I could never relax in this room.

I have been wondering since this thread began why anyone would think putting a chair 8' in the air atop a breakfront is a good idea.  I don't get _that_ at all.

There are good pieces in this photo, but it's an example of not seeing the forest for the trees.

If I was in a museum and the room was roped off, I would like it.

If it was my living room, I'd freak.  Sweating just looking at it!

I remember taking my older nephew, Eddie, to Angel of the Sea in Cape May, NJ, during one of my visits.  The owners were giving house tours and I had never been inside.  Eddie was about 6ish.  When we walked in, the room had this kind of feel.  Oh no, not with a 6 year old boy.  I said to him "Do not raise your arms, for any reason, do not scratch yourself, do not sneeze, do not touch anything.  Put one foot in front of the other and walk as if your arms are attached to your body."   At least he listened.

Needless we did not stay in that room very long!

I like a certain amount of clutter, but this is excessive. The stuff needs to take turns being in the room.
