If this is what you call fun Lucy, I sure wouldn't want to spend a whole day with you.  Not alone our trip to FL to visit MTH

Good Morning Pinky.  I agree...this is a bit awkward, but we will all get used to it soon enough.  Besides....this is too good a party to stop now, especially with CIJ coming.

JPC, I can have fun with almost anything.  When life hands me lemons, well you know the story.  Don't worry, we'll have fun in Florida.  My Gdaughter lives in Key Largo and she's just like me.  We'll go right after  the holidays.  Margaritas on the beach.  Bahaha

Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

It is hard getting used to this new site. So I just read the July insider with Jill on the cover decorating a Christmas tree and there are new CIJ items coming soon. I am looking forward to the shows. Some are just reorders though.

Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

Hi Gang! Looks like it's true confessions time here at  the Christmas in July thread. Yep, I have a few today. I went fun shopping this morning, as opposed to groceries etc. I've passed this little shop that opened on the way to the  shopping center, and finally stopped today.

I found a terrific barn star, done in rust type finish, 24 inch size that I love. I've been looking for the right one for at least a year. They had an adorable little blue glazed door with a berry spray attached to the front,( about 6x10 inches) with a big star cut out, for the upstairs hallway, and two nice, very full, very pretty berry branch spray bunches with berries in a maroonish (?) color that will be able to stay out all year. They're sizable, in that they'll fit any large pitcher or vase and the price was terrific too.

I don't know exactly what got into me this morning, but while I was out, I stopped to pick up an additional bathroom carpet for the downstairs bathroom. Waiting in line to check out, (this wasn't the great little shop, that was next ), there was only 1 checker, and at least 12 of us in line. Everyone was smiley though, and in good spirits,  but I wanted to get done and move on to the "good shopping" !

So all of a sudden, I figure I'll get someone's attention to come and wait on us, and I called out, loudly, "CHECK OUT IN AISLE 5!!!!!!" The whole line of people were in shock, and just laughing while I looked around pretending it wasn't me!!! LOL In less than a minute 2 other registers plus jewelry opened up, and we moved right along after that. They opened register 6, which ajoined number 5, and I said,"See, next time you won't doubt me!"....

I laugh just thinking about it as it's so out of my character. I'm such a wallflower most of the time... but hanging around the boards has brought out my more....expressive side? Anyhoo, had to share this story. Congratulations if you got to the end!  It got a little wordy!  pinky
