Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

LOL JPC, so you switched to the GB after all!

Here I am wavering between the snowman, GB, or neither.

I just can't decide.

Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

Thanks for the warning on the switch.  Before I give them out, I'll check all the switches and make sure everything is works right.

Then no one talked me out of it fast enough though I pleaded for intervention (just kidding) so I also bought the silver and blue mercury lights for myself and then knew my SIL loves white and blue for her Christmas decorations and she's hard to buy for since she has everything!  Two sets are her Christmas present so now I'm down to just my MIL, my brother and niece to buy gifts for so I'm doing good!!  I think I just had a windfall!! Hi SHOPR....yep, I did.  Took me awhile to talk myself into it but think I will be happy with it.  I didn't think I needed another white one since I fixed one up last year and really liked the GB one.

And it will save me money in batteries, now how is that for reasoning.

I think you would like either one SHOPR.  I went with the snowman last year cause I could leave it out past Xmas thru the winter so got long life out of it.  I left it out till I took my other snowmen down.

Do let us know WHICH one you go with.  LOL

Hey lucy,

I am watching you.  My mommie told me not to hang out with people like you.  LOL.  You can get me in some big trouble.   But I have found there are a few just like you on this forum.  Love the cloches this year especially the size.

Hope the timer works this year and if not be sure to try it backwards before sending it back.

Enjoy the shows today

Hey JPC, now you show up after MTH and I have already gone and ordered stuff.  We hoped you'd talk some sense into us, but, oh well, too late.  LOL  Did you get anything?  Cloche?  I got the carolers and the church.  I decided not to get the reindeer since I have so many already.  It's raining here in Mo today so good day for watching Christmas shows.

Hi lucy.."talk some sense into you and MTH,"  what a laugh. That would be like talking to Mr Crazy sometimes, in one ear and out the other.

I did weaken and ordered the church cloche but really liked the GB house.  I did fix up one last year with a white house and some trees and lights so cancelled the church and decided to get the GB house instead.  Figured I could use the Cloche I had used last year for the GB one on something else.  I had used the mini lights in it last year and had to keep changing batteries so now I won't have to worry about it.  I can use the mini GB house I used it in last year around on the table with the trees and other minis I had around it.    LOL    I love the idea of the smaller cloche.  If I hadn't gotten the snowman from last year, that one would be coming to my house too.

I told MTH I WAS NOT going to order one this year.  So till someone talks some sense into me, I am of no use to anyone here.  LOL    See, if you talk to yourself long enough, you can talk yourself into anything

JPC, MTH and I always listen to you, we just don't always follow your advice.  lol   I'm glad you treated yourself to a cloche.  I intended to just get one but couldn't decide between the church and carolers.  The GB one is pretty but I donated all of my GB collection to our Gospel Mission this year.  I'd used it for several years.  I had a lot of it.

Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

I almost bought the glitter rings, but noticed that the base is brown.  Now wouldn't you think that the base would have been painted white, because when it is on the mirror, especially, the brown is very visible.  Why didn't Valerie bring more reindeer?  I have a hunch that she will bring them back later on.  I will be deep cleaning the kitchen today while watching Valerie's shows.

lucymo, I notice your Avatar is a Daylily.  Do you grow them?  I have a Daylily thread in Garden where I posted some of mine.

Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

Boy i can see that today is a losing battle around here.  I keep trying to pop in and out but tonight might be a different story. I'll have time to sit on the couch and watch so please keep me informed of items that come on during the day so i can check them out.

JPC: I'm glad you got yourself the GB cloche. I know that you really enjoy GBs.  Good for you.  Guess it just makes me feel better about taking the plunge too...LOL.

Re: Christmas In July (New Thread).

The frightening thing is, its only 9 a.m. here and I've already blowa hefty portion of my Christmas and holiday budget!  Its a good thing I bought all of my lights and outdoor decorations last year!!

The sets are so pretty in the shows too.  I do wish I could have a tree but my dogs are just too unpredictable and there have been disasters in previous years when I tried to have one.  As long as I can decorate tables, walls, mantles and areas that are higher, things don't get tossed.

I think JPC purposely ignored us so that we would spend our $$. Lucy we can always deal with the reindeer again if they come back "as is" and maybe the reduced pricing will make us feel better about them.

JPC:  Still holding onto that cloche?? I am.  In fact, now I find myself thinking about gift giving!!  Geez

MTH,  remember P1, HL and all those places who will also be tempting us with some awesome Christmas items.  Oh, and then there's the Harvest season.  OMG, I'm going to be in financial ruin.  JPC is caught up in this now so she's no longer able to help us get a grip.  I only watched Valerie's last show with one eye open and didn't buy a thing.  Smiley Wink

lucy..Story of my life, no one listens to me, boohoo.  Oh I don't know how you got rid of all your GB items.  Love them but I have just been using them for about 3 or 4 years so not tired of them yet.  You made good choices on the ones you did get.  Love the carolers too.
