I love this but yes the door and window would have to have the option of covering for obvious reasons.

This appears to be a space that was converted to a bath. Given the really pretty structural elements, I'm not sure that would have been my choice for this space, but I do like it. It looks like this room enjoys a good deal of privacy, but I've never been one who finds the inability to cover glass a positive. I too would want some sort of shade, given, an unobtrusive one, so as not to hide its beauty, for the door...

From what I could see of the outside - that looks like it might be an upstairs bathroom.

 

Even so - it's entirely too bright for me.  I really don't like a lot of bright natural light - vision issue - bright light is visually uncomfortable for me.

 

I'm really not a "country style" person ....
