Charming Cottage Kitchen Vignette...

Is it perfection? No, but I find it pleasing. I do think, though, I'd have opted out of the stainless steel dishwasher, given this setting.

This is charming and cute, perfect for a cottage! I would have left the Stainless Dishwasher out as well. Doesn't go with the rest of the kitchen.

I'm not a fan of stainless steel and would have chosen white.

It's ok, but not my style. I'm not loving the floor, open shelves, or the cabinets. Seems like all those crevices on the doors would be really difficult to keep clean. I've never liked fabric beneath a sink. I prefer a sink with bottom doors. I agree that the stainless appliance seems out of place. I like the countertop.

Vintage kitchens are very depressing to me.  It just looks like hard times if you lived with and around them:  And your times were hard.

@Sooner , this very much reminds me of my grandparents'  kitchen when I was growing up. Not the color scheme because they had darker cabinets.

I don't care for this at all.  It does look depressing to me and I think it looks like they tried to update a really old kitchen.

I think the only way that dishwasher would fit in is with a custom covering from the cabinet maker.  I suppose you could get by with white; but I hate white appliances.

One huge bugaboo for me is whenever I see a fabric "curtain" type covering under a sink or washstand. I just hate that look. Reminds me of photos of povery stricken peoples' home in the 30s and  40s.

The stainless dishwasher is fine with me ..it matches the hardware on the cabinets, the faucet,  and probably the refrigerator and range.

The curtain under the sink would be the first thing I would remove.

Cute kitchen.

I guess it would be okay for a "get away" cottage, but I couldn't live w/this full time.  No open shelving for me and the SS DW is way out of place.  Needs to be white.
