Re: Charmed by this House...

I can usually find a redeeming quality in any room but the only thing that caught my eye were the bed pillows! Some color at last. Then they had to get cutesy by covering small books in turquoise on the bedside tables.  On my screen the art on the wall looks all blue and doesn't go.  IMO it is one of the worst furnished homes in total I have ever seen.

Re: Charmed by this House...

After seeing the serene outside, when I scrolled down to the next picture the dining room mirror scared me. Boo! Woman Surprised

Very charming outside.  I think I would decorate the house closer to the period when this style was popular.

Not fond of the retro modern in the least.

The dead spider above the table is missing a few legs.

Re: Charmed by this House...

@steviebThe only thing I like are the two night tables. I like mirrored furniture. I think that's Art Deco. Not really sure, could be Art Nouveau.

The outside of the house is so deceiving from what's inside. Don't really like it. I need color.

Thanks for the post Smiley Happy

The house itself is lovely and I would empty it of its furnishings and decor and redo.

Re: Charmed by this House...

At one time I could not see gold and silver mixed.  Lately, however, when I see it, I like it !  Who knew? I've been eyeing a beautiful vase with that mix.  If this is someone's taste, I definitely think  this is a great example of how to pull it off.

Re: Charmed by this House...

I'm another odd ball out here... I like the outside a lot, and even liking the gold features.

Only cons for me are the bushes, the sitting room chairs, and the headboard.

I could live with all of them easily.. so I'm nitpicking those.Woman Happy

The yard is so vibrant. Might look totally different under a blanket of snow. It would be easy to change up the interior.

The green grass is nice. However the tree right in front of the windows detracts from the architectural details of the house. The inside is very bland also. It just doesn't have any appeal.

That very small crepe myrtle which is not a tree, but an overgrown shrub, keeps the sunlight from peeling the paint off the bedroom walls in August is not a deterrent but a positive to a realtor and/or buyer in the south.
