The chair may be practical if space is a problem but as far as anything else, I do not care for it.  It doesn't look comfortable at all.

Maybe in a kids room, with their favorite books but I would prefer shelves on both sides instead of being enclosed.

Meh,  Don't like pre-fab plastic look.  Or the wall.  If I needed to partition myself from someone else in the room OK. but That just does not lok comfortable. Plus the shelves are no better than shelves elsewhere as you can not access them while yu are Sitting in the chair.

Give me a good old library wingback chair and a side table.

It's an interesting concept but I'd want to redesign it.  Even then, I would have no interest in having one.
