I took a picture last night of my candle rings with VPH's pedestals.

Those are all lovely pictures, and you ladies are very creative... but you can make a candle ring out of anything. Some twigs, a floral swag, real flowers, faux flowers.... I sometimes roam around the "hobby" shops and look for ideas. You often end up paying much more for something created for you, when you can get perfectly good ideas online or in catalogs, then do it yourself.

I agree. These can be made from stuff found at the craft store. Express your creativity!

Thanks, Mallemo. I'll definitely post if I see these again, although I was probably only looking at that site because of something you or someone else posted...LOL! Since they sold out, I imagine they will introduce something similar, maybe for autumn.

When did you purchase them?

After seeing Marsha's pics of the rings, I really don't think I could make my own for the price she paid. There are so many different types of flowers and greenery used, that I'm afraid it would cost me a small fortune to buy all the needed supplies.

Marsha2003, I absolutely love what you've done with your candleholders, including the use of these candle rings.

I have the set of 5 Cain candleholders.

As much as I love the colors and quality of these, I have ended up storing the tallest two for now. I would use them grouped with other shorter items, but after a while I just thought they look too tall and out of place.

Now that I've seen these draping candle rings, I know that I need a set! They are what the taller holders need, in my opinion. So, Rosehill, I agree with you. I would opt for the all-green set, so that I could use them longer during the year, but I would also be open to a seasonal A/D set if Valerie brought us one. That's a great idea, whitelinen.

If I am not mistaken, Marsha said she paid $69 for 5 of those floral rings? Granted that is a fair price compared to much I have seen asked in catalogs, especially when you add in S&H. However, I found a set of 3 adorable little bird's nests on sale for $3.99 at the Tuesday place, and with a few different floral branches that are often 50% off at the Hobby place... I know for certain I could come out much less than $69. I am not saying they aren't beautiful, and for those that don't want to be bothered to make their own, it makes sense to purchase them at the best price you can find them.

That is why I rarely purchase from VPH... I will say that VPH has lovely designs and she has great creativity, but I think her prices are ridiculous, especially when you add on the S&H, and many of her styles can be reinterpreted at a more affordable cost.

I have always loved decorating, and found this forum a great place to get ideas and suggestions. One thing is for certain, great style doesn't always have to cost a fortune. Smile

I would LOVE to see a four-season auto-delivery of these from VPH, Whitelinen. What a terrific idea! She could offer a set of three rather than a set of five to keep the price at a more affordable level. Thanks for your kind words, Rosehill.

Here are the other two from the set. I used them in a different room with candles.

Marsha2003...What is the base of the candle rings made from can you tell?

Mallemo, The base is a heavy metal ring about the diameter of a coat hanger covered in green florist's tape. Strangely, some of the rings are large enough to go around my Luminara candles. Others, I had to cut with heavy duty wire cutters and wire the ends together. Maybe these pictures will help.

Thank you so much Marsha2003 for these photos. That just gives me an idea of how they would fit around the candle. I was not sure.
