You are too kind, thank you.  We are surrounded by woods and on the edge of a protected wetland so no one can build next to us!

If you would like to see some of the house, it's under the thread "Here's My Country Christmas".

The arrangement I am putting together will be on the jelly cabinet where you will see the green angel.

Your home is just so warm and lovely. I can see it's well thought out, too.
Your collections do fit perfectly, just as you planned.
The tulips would be perfect there.

I like places surrounded by nature.💚

Apparently, I only had a fleeting thought in years past, but I do plan on planting tulip bulbs and daffodil bulbs in the front woods when it's appropriate for our area.

I designed the house at age 28 and had begun collecting antiques at 26.  I knew what I wanted when I went home with a friend for the first time and her mother had the big antiques with Victorian headboards on the bed, to the celling.  I stepped into that, and my soul just settled.  I felt it all over.

I had never liked one piece in our home. or either grandparents except one tufted Victorian love seat, which my grandmother, born in 1900 left me.

": . .my soul just settled."

What a lovely phrase. Deep and artistic. Appreciation of beauty is a wonderful trait and it's easy to see that it's true for you. Fashion, decor, and more.

You could write a book with that title. It would need pictures, of course!

Much appreciated.  I have been asked repeatedly to "write a book", lol!  Instead, I am now a professional stylist after a career of teaching HS and being dept head.

Oh, they are just beautiful, @ECBG !   Thank you so much for posting them.  I didn't realize they'd be so statuesque, and the color is so luscious and contributes to the "real" look of them.

Like @GingerPeach ,  I so enjoy getting little glimpses of your wonderful, antiques-filled house, that enviable spinning wheel and charming porch giving out on the woods!   Lovely, as always.

It is SO hard to create when you can't hold items in your hand!

I created the arrangement of the faux flowers in the air.  I'm hesitant , but going forward!!!

Totally forgot to show you the unbelieveable sideboard I found at the antique store.  None of the design is broken off!!!  "She" is a beauty!

I also love the martini glasses with the black striped stems!!!
