Calling Oznell 4/03/23

[ Edited ]

@Oznell

I was looking at the new home collection at Sundance and saw this very unusual vase which "can't hold water".  I just thought it was pretty.

Dried flowers would be quite nice in it or faux Queen Anne's lace.

Love this!

@ECBG, for vases that can't hold water, just put another container that can inside the vase.

I'm currently using a large plastic seltzer water bottle. I easily sawed off the the top, leaving a nice sized insert.

Muddling through...

@ECBG ,  you always scout great things!   That wood vase is striking, and would be just that needed "relaxed" rustic note that some interiors cry out for.   Hubby and I were in our local antique "mall"  (really it's one dealer ,  but she does allow half a dozen booths of other dealers in the complex),  and I was showing him a vintage wood vase with interesting graining too.

Those delicate, fluted candle holders are delightful and romantic.  I love how they styled them in the pictures.

@sabatini ,  thanks for that idea!  I've thought of putting very thin glass bud vases in non-water tight vases, but I never have any thin glass vases!  The plastic water bottle solution is perfect!
