On the Real Real, you wouldn't believe the price of all of the Eames chairs.
I always appreciated their look of comfort!
Have a spare $10,000 around???

I always thought they look like office furniture and very masculine but I'd like to try one just for fun.

I'm not at all surprised that your great eye for antiques still allows you to see the merits in landmark midcentury design, @ECBG !
Wow, I had no idea they were getting that much for them-- crazy. They truly seem sumptuous in their sink-in-ability, but 10,000 dollars worth?
I love it when they do them in white leather too.

We owned an Eames chair and ottoman back in the '70s. Bought it from an import/export furniture company. Not sure of it's origins or authenticity, but it was real leather and rosewood plywood.
Interesting story on how Herman Miller company and Eames collaborated after WW II to stumulate U.S. economy.
At any rate, a $10,000 asking price is way out of range in today's market, even it's a restored version of the original.
Would you believe Costco carries them?

I took a peek at the faux florals at Terrain and thought this choice was unusual!
Hibiscus handmade from vintage army tent canvas in India!

How absolutely unique, @ECBG . Something delicate and pretty from that rugged material! That reminds me of the faux flowers that have been beautifully made out of different metals, which I also admire. But vintage tent material -- what an ingenious use for that, and the result is so effective.

I got an email from Pottery Barn, so of course I had to take a peak!
They have a set of handmade pottery which I love! "Artisan Handcrafted Terracotta Vases".
LOVE this one!

Oh, yeah, @ECBG -- I've seen those very ones at Pottery Barn, and admired that rustic, ridged one you pointed out! A beauty. That collection, unlike some others, has an irresistable earthy warmth to it. I like to look at their ceramics periodically, to get ideas for vignettes for my own small cache of pottery...

I would love to experience a Pottery Barn! There isn't one near here. Crumpets!
I love this arrangement by Astar. For me, so many arrangements are too big. I don't need a 2 ft. high arrangement.
I'd like to change out the proteas (just don't seem to like) to camellia.
