Re: Calling Oznell 01/05/2023

Oh, me too, @ECBG --  I don't have one near me either.  At least we can gawk at them online!

Astar has such a flair for the dramatic.  I like that she used dusty miller in that arrangement--  unexpected, and I always like its softening, sort of "powdery" effect...

@Oznell

I have asked for smaller arrangements.

We'll see.  I don't know how far ahead the filming is done.

I have always LOVED gateleg tables and found a dark gateleg coffee table on 1stDibs.  Of course, it's over $1,000 dollars!  In looking, I don't know if I want that many legs in my great room.  Hmmmmm...........

We have once of those chairs as well. We also have an egg chair, purchased back in in the early 80s. I never thought of them as having value, we just like how Herman Miller mixed in with Stickley pieces we've collected over the years. Perhaps I should check out Costco for a backup. I'd happily take 10k for our chair!

You might contact The Real Real and 1stDibs.  They curate special pieces.

Re: Calling Oznell 01/05/2023

I liked that gateleg coffee table in the living rooms thread too, @ECBG

I know what you mean about too many legs.  But, I have a small, gateleg dining table, that I use as a side table, in the dining room.  The leaves that hang down on each side are unusually long-- so when they are in the "down" position, they obscure a lot of the legs.

I love that table, that I got years ago in an antique shop in New Orleans.  It wasn't super old-- just an old reproduction, ha.  I eventually want to get rid of our chunky dining table, and just keep the gateleg one in that room, to use as a dining table when needed.

I could see that gateleg style working so well in a house like yours, with all your antiques...

Thank you.  I just love it.

My coffee table is a French kitchen table cut down.

Oh, that sounds ideal, @ECBG --  I'd love that myself.  My living room coffee table is boring.

I read the "more info" on the table.  Disappointed in 1990.  Meh.......
