Definitely, what I'd expect to see in a weekend or summer retreat cabin bedroom.  Could be the boy's bedroom, too.  Clever use of coolers as a nightstand.

Reminds me of this lodge we used to stay at ...

the wood on the ceiling and walls, the older style prints of the outdoors.

 

And I actually think the stacked cooler idea is a good one. Works well here.

 

Yep. This space is oozing with the “let’s head out to the cabin and do some trout fishing on the river” vibe.

Reminds me of the farm. One great aunt had knotty pinewood walls throughout her home. The other great aunt had painted walls in bright colors.
