Re: COLORFUL LIVING AND DINING ROOM

@Iwantcoffee ,  that's amazing that you said that about smiling-- that's so similar to what I've heard Maria Killam say-- she wants her clients to smile every time they see their interiors!

Wow, @AZfem ,  your interior sounds like it has a similar breezy glamour,  right down to the animal print!

If I had colors with golden undertones, like hers, I'm sure I'd have a little touch of leopard print-- maybe a small pillow.  Have always liked the sort of global, cosmopolitan look of that.

My couches are sort of a medium cocoa though, which means pink-beige undertones, so a golden-y leopard would clash.  The cocoa comes to life with blues, greens and blush colors.   Hey, I could get one of those kooky leopard prints in a color with "cool" undertones-- navy leopard print???

@Oznell  your always so kind!

I do have animal print pillows the exact same fabric as my animal chair on my couch.  My animal print is small & delicate. IMG_20240119_232459.jpg

I'm sure your living room is lovely. To me, gold/yellow would look great with cocoa but I mix everything up & somehow it all comes together.

Oh, thanks for posting, @AZfem .   What a cozy, inviting corner,  leopard pillows at the ready!   I love your tall vase in metal stand, and that handsome bookcase/ cabinet.  I spy a Navajo double wedding vase in there!  Love those.  Having been born in Arizona, I've long admired it.

Makes my brain happy especially this time of year---love the colors but still too much clutter for me---not a fan of the animal print---but the light is fantastic

At first glance, I love everything about this place!

When I linger looking, I take it apart and there are certain elements I don't think I could live with.

But i LOVE the paint color! The softness of it just unites all the elements, IMO.

in the dining room, I can see the effect's difference  up against the starkly white furniture.

The intense yellow stool in the entryway is perfect!

I might love so have something like that in my entryway too! A bright color!

Perfect for putting boots on as you go out the door!

Agreed, @LTT1 ,  a nice zingy little shot of color at the entrance like that, a real pick me up!

Re: COLORFUL LIVING AND DINING ROOM

It's all too bright for me.  I prefer a moody feel (is that bad?).  I don't really care for a bright house, neither with sunlight streaming in, nor in color choices.

Re: COLORFUL LIVING AND DINING ROOM

@LTT1 ---I do that too ---but I am thinking it is all decorated up for the camera shots---I can't imagine anyone having so much stuff out--would drive me insane to have to dust it all---I do like the colors tho--would I put them in my house--maybe in a few places. would be fun to tour such a place in person too.

Ditch the green chairs and I'm all in! I like the yellow and it is used sparingly. I like the touches of animal.

Re: COLORFUL LIVING AND DINING ROOM

It all coordinates fairly well but, personally, I would never use this color scheme in my home.
