Re: COLORFUL BELGIAN FLAT OF DESIGNER GERT VOORJANS

It certainly is interesting. I like the maximum use of such a small space. I am too claustrophobic to be comfortable in there, but I can certainly admire the effort it takes. The stairs on the other hand, seem sad to me.

Too much clutter, and very busy. Beware children, elderly and drunks, looks like a very dangerous place to sit. That vase looks odd in front of the door and you would need a mighty feather duster to clean all those books, that carry dust mites with time. Give me open rooms with a nice flow. I found less is best and one can make their surroundings beautiful , without feeling trapped with stuff.

The furnishings and rooms are not my style, and the bland stairway seems to be in utter contrast to the rest of the dwelling. IMO the stairway area is really unattractive. The pedestal, vase, and chair are not in proportion and don’t go together. I dislike the worn look on the stairs, and the drape on the right side side looks like a wrinkled shower curtain. JMO.
