I love soft green walls - a pale celery shade is perfect for me. Decor piieces like sofa pillows or glass pitchers or vases in a darker green work for me. I'm not fond of wood furniture painted green but love fabrics with green or green/blue. I've been thinking about getting my combo LR/DR painted along with my kitchen and this is spurring me on to start looking at paint swatches!

NOT for me. (My mother had chartreuse walls.) They were "loud"...

Green is my favorite color, preferring pale or soft greens but also love forest green in small doses as in trim. Our house is white brick trimmed in forest green shutters, and accents. The interior walls of our home are all soft white paint but for a 4 or 5 years we had one medium green wall in the formal living room and one in the kitchen. . . they did not last long I had them repainted within a couple of years. I love the celery bedroom, and #6 and 7, 10 would be my choices for my home.

@Oznell I love every one of them. Green is my go-to decorating color although I have to have some blue for DH without the green, but I LOVE green and blue together. His bathroom is blue and his bedroom covers and sheets are blue and white.
Love that wallpaper. That's a great wallpaper. I would love to have that in my DR.
The rest of my house is loaded with green. My great room has a green sofa (I think you would call it Loden green). I have a ruggable rug with green as the main color. I have a green armoire, probably a browned-down dark olive. I have two wing chairs, probably celery green in a paisley texture. I have all my blue plates above the mantle/fireplace. I have a blue chamber pot on the coffee table with lemons (sometimes green apples). My DR rug is seen from there and is blue and green, an old Persian rug (colors are faded). My china cabinet has a set of Blue Danube displayed and I have painted my DR chairs a similar color to the armoire. Most of my furniture is Queen Anne cherry except the coffee table and the armoire (the armoire is old French). I have a blue/white foot tub on my DR table with seasonal flowers, most of the time artificial but right now I have some tulips that are going to die very soon.
My kitchen is dry sage (green). I can't get away from it. It's 20 years old but I keep getting Benjamin Moore guys to mix it for me since it is no longer stocked. My bathroom and bedroom are sawdust which is a green color, but it shows on the chart as a brown color, but it is a green with probably some brown in the undertone.

I love it all, walls and/or decor. The rooms you posted are all great!

Green is my fave color--but am more drawn to the blue greens and less to the yellow greens. I like its uses either way, for background and as decor pieces----#8 speaks to me

@We rescue cats , I love white painted brick, ( esp. when it starts to fade and come off a bit) and the accents of forest green shutters, love! Classic.
@Nonametoday , your green armoire, oh boy. The way you mix green with your blue & white china is just what I love too. They look so beautiful together.
Funny you mention "Blue Danube" -- I missed getting the "Blue Danube" mayonnaise dish at a local shop, but loved it. If I were starting all over again, I'd seriously consider that pattern-- so whimsical and charming:
Reminiscent of the Blue Onion pattern too....

As much as I do not like color on walls or long fabric drapes room 1 was a relaxing, stunning and elegant look. Absolutely loved it and could live in that room easily. That is a perfect green.

I love it all!
No, seriously, my family room curtains are the exact color of picture #1. My sofa and loveseat are medium olive with brass accents. We have touches of light burgundy, AND that room turned into our patriotic room when we inherited some special items from WWII. So the one wall is decorated that way. We have an Amish-made dried floral wreath I found at a craft show in another state that pulls it together. Our river stone fireplace helps too.
One bedroom has a reproduction "Maryland" quilt that has a lot of green in it. As much as I like green , those are the only places in our home I wish I had a green kitchen. I kind of do with some accessories, but the walls are neutral. Our front door and shutters ARE dark green!
I love all of the pictures. #4 might be a little too dark for me in a kitchen (I like light and bright,), but like you @Oznell , I love blue and green together, and I love #5.
Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures. ![]()
