Re: CLEANING THE DISHWASHER?

[ Edited ]

When I lost my dishwasher 3 years ago I replaced it with a stainless tub.  It costs a little more, but I was having so much trouble with lime, calcium, and iron.  Yes, we have a Culligan system but stuff still was getting through.  I do run some sort of cleaner every once in a while in case there are deposits in the water arms.  I live in an area where there used to be heavy mining activity.

I was at WM today, and found to my surprise that one of the BIG dishwasher detergent makers sells a product containing Clorox.

I bought the two most powerful detergents AND a container of dishwasher cleaner/disinfecter. Not ready to give up the fight quite yet.

Wanted to add- since we were snowed in yesterday, we (DH!) took the works out of the bottom of the dishwasher tub, and there WAS a filter there, which he cleaned. We'll see if this helps!
