CLASSIC ENGLISH SITTING ROOM

[ Edited ]

English designer Susie Atkinson is my cup of tea, when it comes to a traditional, very English country house look.

It's pretty, but not too much.  Her color palette seems to be in my favorite zone, dusty "off" colors of blue, pink, ecru.  Edited to add-   I got too excited, ha, and forgot to mention that this is her own sitting room in Hampshire, England.   The kitchen is hers too.

There's such an understanding of comfort!

Here's her kitchen:

Oh, my goodness.

But she can and does, do a lot of elegant, more formal commercial projects too.  Can't resist showing you one.

Look at this tea room or restaurant or something she did in the Beaverbrook Hotel--  it's insanely beautiful, yet serene:

Re: CLASSIC ENGLISH SITTING ROOM

The sitting room is just lovely, it has so much appeal.  I love the furniture and the way the pieces are placed.  Love the curtains and the print on the sofa.  It is a room I would spend much time in relaxing and reading and feel comfortable and content.  Very pretty environment and roomy!!!!!

The tea room is very inviting , love the print on the chairs and the way the tables are spaced and not close to one another.  The wooden doors, artwork and chandelier enhance the tea room setting!

Beautiful!  I would just change the ottoman to a coffee table in the living room.

Just beautiful.  I especially love the sitting room.

My only complaint, as always, is the unironed table cloth.  I don't like wrinkles!!

This sitting room is me.  I love English traditional.  Not too fond of the kitchen for some reason, but I love the chairs in the tea room.  I would like to see them in my dining room.

Re: CLASSIC ENGLISH SITTING ROOM

I love everything about the sitting room, the light, soothing colors, all of the light filtering in. It is elegant with just the right amount of artwork and accessories.

I feel the same about the kitchen - all the windows! Love the hanging lights, the white kitchen. The rug is a bit unexpected but gives the room a bit of color. And the dog is the sweetest!

The tea room chairs and floor is to die for. The decor is perfect. The artwork is a bit much for the space but a minor detail.

Thank you for bringing this to us!

Oh!  Those chairs in the hotel!  That floor in her kitchen!  Just about everything in her living room! (OK, not that chrome round side table!?!)

I think that she probably has an induction stovetop because of the things hanging under the hood.  Stove hoods are generally tough to make attractive, but hers is!

I have decided that I may need to put this woman on speed dial in case I win Powerball.
