Re: CASUAL EATING AREAS AND MORE

Really like the look of cafe curtains, they often create a cozy, congenial atmosphere in homes and in establishments, @Oznell  .  Also like the look of cafe curtains when seeing them through the window from the outside.

In the above photo, the pattern on the window coverings (and the matching couch and pillow coverings) reminds me of stereograms.

Really like the colors and designs in the curtains and pillows, and the matching tulips in the hobnail pitcher.  Many nice items on the shelves, including what looks like a Pearlware lattice basket and Mosser Glass:

Like the curtains and the three walls of windows:

Re: CASUAL EATING AREAS AND MORE

Ha, ha, @QVCisFun ,  my eye went immediately to the Cornishware in the painting too!  I didn't spot them myself, but I think your eagle eye is right about the Mosser glass on the shelf in the other image too!

In the mother/daughter thread, I noticed those mussed seat cushions also.  I just thought those particular ones were because, with down-filled cushions, they get "disheveled" looking after they've been sat on.  I've noticed that before with down-filled furniture.  But, I suppose it's possible someone would be running around plumping them or even karate-chopping them like some do with throw pillows.  But, wow, what a chore, ha.

Love your wheel back chair story.

Re: CASUAL EATING AREAS AND MORE

I love the number eight area, that is where I would be reading my book.  I have always loved curtains, drapes of all kind and still do.  When I was growing up my mother had cafe curtains in the kitchen for winter and then summer.  I like privacy and cafe curtains provide.  The dining area in number one is just so lovely and calming.  I am not a fan of islands in the kitchen and have always had a dining set, I appreciate that look.  All in all very nice eating areas!!!!
