Re: CALIFORNIA COTTAGE WITH "BRITISH COLONIAL" INFLUENCE

I would love any house with a deck like this:

All comments about the views are so true!  I'd venture to say for me, a view like that would be maybe 80% of my decision about a house.  The calculation being, I could probably, over time, get even an "incompatible" house closer to my ideal, but a view like that is irreplaceable.

I think it's put together very well and there are certain decor items that I love but, overall, this just isn't my style

My faves are the back deck and the console table in the first picture.  I also like the use of blue throughout.  If/When I update our home, I would like to use shades of blue.

I really like this aesthetic and enjoy each of these rooms. As always, there are things I'd change, but this is a wonderfully pleasant home... Not a big fan of blue and there's a lot of it here, but it's pretty.... Think I'd tone down some of the patterns and would remove some of the candles from that beautiful console table... Sheesh, it looks like an alter the way they've done it... I'd also lose the ceiling light in the dining room, as I think that style of fixture has become overdone and I never cared for it anyway... Overall though, what a lovely job of decorating...

@Oznell  Love this style of home and that wonderful deck.

Liking the shades of blues used but, for me, way too much furniture everywhere would like a bit more space to move around.  There seems to be lots of chairs.

One of my pet hates covers on dining room chairs and breakfast table cushions with long tails would have to go - also would go for different drapes in living room without so much pattern.

Do like the bones of this house though.  Thank you for sharing p.

I would change out the patterned curtains, but everything else is just beautiful.
