@RedTop  My husband used a c pap machine and had COPD. I got a battery for it then when he needed it the battery was dead.

We didn’t have a gas line to our house until after an ice storm about 18 years ago, right at Christmas.

As soon as the line came to our street we got a whole house generator that saw us through many storms including Isabel. 

My husband had air conditioning then and was more comfortable. He had lung cancer,  then went on oxygen so he needed the generator.

I’m on the second generator now and being alone it’s a necessity since my street is really bad in snow.

Besides the insulated enclosure make sure it is very far from the house and not near it.
