Do you like the arrangement?  Mixing colored mats with black and white photos?

Yes,  I love that look.  The company I work for has a version of that in the lobby.  It's old black and white photos of the neighborhood over the decades and the mats are in the company's signature colors, with bronze  frames.

Yes - I do like this arrangement, especially the use of coloured mats.

I think it could be charming for some applications, but I personally don't care for it, even though I love color.

As one with a tiny collection of black and white photographs, and who loves vintage photography in general, the bright colors, for me at least, "take away" from the haunting, ethereal look of black and white.

It's that spectral, "removed-in-time" quality that I so value in b & w photography, that to me is undermined by the (admittedly pretty) colors of the mats...

Yes! This is beautiful. I love mixing black and white with color in fashion and home decor.
