Bethlehem Lights lighted wreaths

I purchased several of the 16 inch battery operated wreaths for my windows last year and the year before. This year I have noticed that about half of the lights on some of the wreaths are not lit. I have replaced the batteries and this is still happening. Has anyone else had this happen? I hate that I spent so much money on these wreaths and they don't last two years.

There was another thread about this a couple weeks ago. I had a similar problem and fiddled with the wires and made sure they weren't stuck in the wire battery cage. That fixed my problem.

all my lights worked, but battery box lids broke off (couldn't open them wide enough to fit battery) and timer did not work on one of the wreaths...no matter what I did. nice concept..quality iffy.

Re: Bethlehem Lights lighted wreaths

I bought a Fall wreath and garland set from them a few years ago. I didn't get two Fall seasons out of the lights. The same thing with my lit Christmas wreath. One Christmas season and about a week of the second one. That was it.

I'll never buy anything from BL again! That stuff is too expensive to use for just a few hours a day for a couple of weeks, before it dies.

Yeah. I had this happen as well. I bought a wreath last year on one of the TSV's (I think it was.) Wreath with little lights, plus ball ornaments. It's a pretty wreath but the lights were useless and half out, and the battery pack is difficult to stow behind the wreath out of sight.

I got the red and green one and kept it in my office. We put it up on the wall every year and it's quite nice, but we don't bother with the lights. I would not repurchase.

Re: Bethlehem Lights lighted wreaths

I bought a BL lit wreath about five years ago. Three or four lights are now out; not only are there no replacement bulbs (I called Betty's Christmas Lights; see website), but the original lights can't even be removed. As bad as that is, at least I got about five Christmases out of it. I think a poster in another thread was right to say that, when buying any lighted Q product, you should like it well enough unlit because the lights will probably fail in short order.

Re: Bethlehem Lights lighted wreaths

SO many threads about light failures with B.L. products. I've heard of similar problems with other lines sold in stores. It seems paying more for ""pre-lit"" may not be such a great investment!
