Was wondering if anyone has purchased the bethlehem light candles that have the fountain and the light? I purchased one last November and used distilled water and two weeks ago the fountain and the light quit working. Tried batteries in it but still doesn't work. Even cleaned it as recommended didn't do anything either. Just wondering if this is going to be all the longer they last. If so they need to come up with another way of these to work longer especially for the price that you pay for them. Has anyone else had this problem?

I don't have it but my experince with BL wasn't very good. I suspect their quality was good at one time, but has gone downhill as they've tried to cut costs.

I bought one years ago when it first aired a TSV. Mine didn't even last a week and it died. I was so disappointed because we really loved it, I chose to not order anymore as I don't think it's been perfected yet.

I had 2 of the second generation ones that were the pllars with the scalloped tops. They worked pretty well, except that they lost one minute of time every day on the timer. In other words, if you set them to go on at 8:00PM on a Monday night, by the following Monday, they'd be coming on at 7:53PM, and this loss of time would continue. Also, the water evaporates pretty quickly, so if you want to keep them full in order to avoid the noise being too loud, you have to top them off every couple of days. Speaking of them being loud, they are very loud, and while they are advertised to be soothing and spa-like, they are actually quite irritating. Even if you fill them up to the very top, which is supposed to make the least sound, they still make a lot of noise. They are distracting if you have them in a regularly occupied area like a tv room or bedroom.
In the year or so that I had them, I never had any problems with the motors. I used distilled water, rinsed them out, and let vinegar sit in them every few months before rinsing them out. I ended up giving mine away because they took up so much space, and I didn't care for the sound effect they produced. I used both of mine with the AC adapters, because I was able to hide the cords easily in the areas where they were featured. During Christmas two years ago, I moved both of them to the bathroom and put them in displays on the toilet tank. I used batteries, because it was difficult to hide the wires in that set up. WIth the pump running, the batteries lasted about 3 weeks. I don't think that's good.
So, if you want to set them up in a bathroom in a display or a yoga room, or somewhere that isn't very social, and you can plug them in, you might enjoy the Aquaflame. Otherwise, the novelty of having your own, mini indoor fountain might run out very quickly.

I ordered one and it had hairline cracks in it. I tried it out before sending it back and didn't like it. I was disappointed, I had high hopes for it.
