Best Handheld Vacuum You Have Used

Today QVC is featuring the Shark Rocket Ultralight Handheld Vacuum. V33128

I am in the market for a good handheld that really has good suction. There are good reviews on this one, except for some complaints about a short cord.

I see that Shark makes some cordless ones too sold on QVC as well as Dirt Devil. I like the Shark Rocket in that it features a lot of accessories.

If anyone has suggestions and reviews of various handheld vacuums, I appreciate your input.

Love my little Shark cordless. It has all of the accessories that I need. I would buy it again and will if this one finally craters. I had a Dirt Devil before this one and didn't like it at all.

I'm interested in any responses also. Is your Shark cordless good for carpet on stairs? I'm tired of lugging my heavy vacuum when doing the stairs.

I have the corded Shark Rocket Ultra-Light Upright which has the same attachments as the handheld one. I use my upright as a hand held when needed since the top portion comes off. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

The cord is actually 35 feet long, not the 30 ft mentioned in the description. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

While this might not be what many of you are looking for, some may wish to consider the Hoover Porta Power. I don't think Q sells this, but can be found at Hoover.com or at Amazon. It is corded. I have had one for well over 20 years, got it used, and it is still running strong.

I decided to get a new one, and quite frankly, I didn't think it would be as good. But I was surprised. All the parts and attachments are still, after all these years interchangeable, and the power seems to be equivalent. Best part is the bag is cloth and you take it outside to empty and reuse. No buying bags or having them discontinue the product and you are stuck with a machine that you can't get bags for.

I have never tried a cordless smaller vac that really worked well, and the Hoover really works for all applications I need, and does a great job.

I have the Shark Rocket Ultralight Upright and another corded Shark handheld. They both have amazing suction, but I prefer the one on the Upright. I've had other brands through the years, but these are the best.

The Shark Rocket is $80 plus $10 shipping; to me, that's a lot to pay for a handheld. I bought a Black & Decker handheld (CHV1510) at Target on Black Friday for $30 and it's been great. On Amazon now it's $37. The warranty is two years, I think.

Check out Shark handhelds at Walmart or Kohls, too. They are usually less than having to pay for shipping, plus coupons at Kohls!
