I don't purchase by designer or the name, but by the materials.  My favorite sheets though are my Tommy Bahamas - they're percale.  I also really like my 100% Egyptian Cotton in a 500 thread count.  I don't like sheets that are too heavy.  My mattress pad I think is Hotel brand and I'm not sure about my fiberbed - I love it - it's a baffle box with a 3 or 4 inch loft.  The pillow protectors I bought in Ross or Walmart - I buy the cotton ones that are hypoallergenic.  As for towels, I just purchased HSN's TS of the Turkish Towels.  I just washed 1 set and the bathmat and I'm happy with them.  I changed bathroom colors so I'll be packing up all my other towels.  Again, I only buy 100% cotton.  I saw some really nice cushy towels in Walmart on Saturday believe it or not, but they were not inexpensive on a per piece basis. I usually find bedding and bath bargains at Ross or I go to BBB and use the coupons on closeouts or clearance.  I like good quality, but I am a bargain hunter.  I don't think you need to spend a fortune to find lasting quality.  Good luck with your project - it's fun to give things a new look with towels and bedding.

I bought some towels at Walmart that are made in the USA - clearly shown on the label. All cotton, fairly plushy and soft. I've washed them several times already and they are holding up very well. I thought the price was reasonable too.

@Nightowlz I love bamboo sheets but more than sheets I love bamboo towels. They are so hard to find that I will take almost any color stocked. The bamboo doesn't get pulls, doesn't shrink, lasts a long time but most importantly dries us off better than anything else.

Joy Manganos first go around with towels contained bamboo- they're really nice. But her subsequent sets got terrible reviews! Where do you find yours?

Costco is a really good place to get towels- I thought I was going the cheap route for my kids towels at college, but they were more plush (& less $$) than anything I had at home!! Woman LOL They have nice fleece  bedding sets  too; their other sheet sets are just so so.

I ordered the Northen Nights sheets that were the TSV. Washed put on the bed and I love them.Extra pillowcases.Mattress cover from Cardis and it is the best I have ever had.

Doing bathroom over. Will try BBB, JCP and TJMAX. Love cotton but. Not Egyptian cotton. Didn't have good luck with them.

I get all my towells at Costco...they are large, fluffy, thirsty and wash well. My sheets I get at target. The threshold brand. The bottom sheet hugs the mattress with rows of elastic, and never ever shifts around, there are labels on the inside that say side, or top/bottom, which for my king size bed helps so much. They don't pill, not expensive for a King size bed, and when washed, they remind me of my childhood when sheets were hung out on the line. Very fresh feeling, The more they are washed, the softer they get. I have had very high end sheets in the past, and one set of very expensive bamboo sheets. They pilled, they shifted on the bottoms mattress, after washing several times, they became dull and lifeless. Someone turned me on to the Threshold brand and I have been buying them ever since.

What is wrong with Northern Nights?  For the price, I feel you can't go wrong!  I really like the Wrinkle Defense sheets they make.  If you take them out of the dryer as soon as it stops, they look great!  Also, they come in so many beautiful colors, they just had another TSV a couple of weeks ago.  Northern Nights, also make towels that are very nice in a variety of colors.  Scott Brothers, also have some very plush towels that I am using now that come in a variety of colors!  You can search these out, in the search bar on the QVC web site!  😉 Good Luck 🍀 I don't think you will be disappointed in any of these!

I will offer up that I will NEVER buy Northern Nights sheets again. I used to buy them back in the day, but the last two sets I got were simply terrible. The elastic gave out in less than a year, and the fitted sheet was so small it barely fit over an old style thin mattress.

The best sheet I've had in a long time came from Sam's Club. I don't think they carry them any more but the brand name was Christy. Super fit, nice feel, and have been holding up for years now.

And I'd recommend staying away from Kohl's altogether. I bought a ton of new towels there late last fall, four different brands, and all in the mid to upper level price point. They all went back. They picked and shredded and had runs after just one washing. All the brands, all the price points. I then tried JC Penney and they all went back when the washer was so full of not just lint, but what looked like seaweed they had shed so bad. I had to strain the water before I let it empty, as I was afraid it would clog the drains it was so bad.

Honestly I found the only decent towels I've had in awhile at Walmart, some sculpted Better Homes and Gardens brand.

The Scott Brothers towels get really good reviews and I've always wanted to try them but every time I look they don't have my colors.

I bought bamboo sheets from Cariloha & bought flannel sheets from Lands End. I waited until I had a coupon for Lands End & I bought the sheets from Cariloha during their Black Friday sale (35% off). That's the best time of year to buy all these expensive things when they have their best deals. I doubt I would have paid the regular price for the sheets at Cariloha. I don't buy expensive pillow protectors since our latex pillow comes with a cover & have nice pillow cases over the protectors. I like the CoolMax mattress pads.

I'm on the hunt for new towels too so it will be nice to see some other replies.

I replaced the comforter set not to long ago. I bought a quilt with the 2 pillow shams. It's so much easier to make the bed. The comforter was so heavy & a hassle making the bed & all the unnecessary throw pillows. I'm all for making my life easier at this stage. If our king size bed did not have the side rails on it a quilt would not have worked without the dust ruffle which I hate. I think it looks fine hanging down to the top of the side rail so you see it.

Lands End has 30% off friends & family sale going on right now if you need any flannel sheets.

Bed Bath & Beyond always has 20% off coupons & I have seen good reviews for their sheets posted on these forums.

Good Luck finding everything to go together in all the rooms. It took me a long time looking & deciding what I wanted.

I agree with this. If you want to save a ton of money wait until the holidays. The ones I picked out at pennies had a 33% of $100 and Ebates was offering a 15% rebate. I will be buying stuff for my bathroom at the new house around the holidays.

When this topic comes up (and it does often), many others have said that Costco has great towels. We don't have one in our area, but wish we did.

I wish I could find sheets that didn't make noise when you turned over in bed and towels that actually absorbed water.

I haven't looked in a while, kind of gave up when everything I touched didn't feel like they were going to do the job.
