Another strange bed idea.

That last step seems very high. Walking up those stairs could be dangerous, even more so if you need to get up in the middle of the night to go the bathroom. 😳

maybe the surrounds are made of concrete, so you can lift the mattress and hunker down in case of nuclear war.  That’s about the only useful purpose I can see since the aesthetics are zero to me.
