You beat me to it!  ITA.  And very out-of-place with the style of the room.

And imagine the dust that would collect on the top of that thing.  You'd need a ladder and a long extension for the vacuum cleaner.  Who thinks these things up?

@on the bay  MRI's are no longer dome-style. Had one done Friday for my knee and have another scheduled for Wednesday for my back. It's so different than the big machines of yester-year. But, it still makes the loud noises!

I asked for a blanket and wore headphones and slept through the 1 1/2 hours. Will probably do the same for the next one, as well.
