My first impression of this is cluttered and I'm not a minimalist person.

It is an interesting room but also not very comfortable or able to even move around comfortably.

It does make me think I'd like to meet the people who live here😊

@AuntG - Are you referring to the white rose arrangement with some red sprigs (?) of some kind of flowered plant at the forefront of the room image, or to the greens draped across the mantle?

The one in the vase @Jersey Born . I didn't think about the mantle greens but they have a holiday look too.

I love the colors but it's way to fussy and cluttered for me.

Thank you for all of your thoughtful responses.  I agree that a few objects could be removed from the room to make it appear less cluttered. It appears that two wall sconces are hidden behind the blue vase floral arrangements on the mantle, but it appears the blue and white vases were placed there to balance out the other blue touches in the room.

I do like the painting, though.  It is reminiscent of the artwork of an old master, like Constable.

I, too, think I would like to meet the people who live in this wonderfully appointed, tastefully decorated home.

Re: Beautiful Living Room

[ Edited ]

It's a nice room---love the windows and the fireplace, but too many coffee tables and I'd get rid of some of the  furniture...

Those windows are beautiful.  It comes off as cluttered to me but that's probably because I don't care for this style in furnishings for a living room and the room has a lot in it.
