@Jersey Born  I love pretty much everything about this room - especially because there are no window treatments! The fringed pillows bother me.The colors are very calming.

To me this is an elegant, yet traditional look.  I think it is beautiful and well done. I also like the way they brought in the blue in that beautiful rug.  The picture above the mantel is one I could get lost in so I'm loving that, too!

Elegant structure of this room and furnishings. However, why so much clutter? It defeats the purpose of a lovely place to enjoy ones' family and entertain guests.

@Jersey Born

It's a very nice room, but also formal.  I wouldn't mind visiting, but then I'd go back home to my casual surroundings.  Woman Wink

The decor is too formal for me, but I love the fireplace and the arched, brown wood-mullioned French doors with the subtly carved panels above them.

I appreciate a well-planned room. It's not my style, but attractive.

I love elegance and formal.   This room has touches of both and is lovely.  However, I would have more color. the tables are not appealing. I would make some changes.

It's very formal but if you like that kind of decor it's fine.  However, I do not like the way the mantel was decorated -- too busy and since the area rug has blue in it, it's okay to have a blue pillow but also briing out other colors in the rug.

It's beautiful -- but just to look at!  It doesn't look suitable for real life.  How could you feel comfortable and just relax?  I'd worry every minute about something getting spilled or something broken, etc.  Nope, not for me!
