I want a permanently installed home standby generator because we lose electricity so much. It would be like an outside air conditioning unit. I got an estimate for a gas-fueled one, but the installation is so complicated. And the 65 decibels sound it would make is too loud.
In researching, I found another type - battery-run. The installation is simpler, and it would be quieter, but I wonder if it works as well as the gas or diesel ones.
If anyone has a permanent battery home generator, would you recommend this type?
