I need some help. We are getting to the point where we are getting ready to buy lighting for the house. Below is a picture of a similar bathroom vanity that will be in my bathroom. Would you do one big mirror or two seperate mirrors. I am thinking of two seperate mirrors then putting a two light vanity above each mirror. Or I could do one big mirror and do a four or five light. The color of the vanity is very similar if not the same as mine. The decorator said brushed nickel or satin nickel for bathroom fixtures. Here is a couple two way lights I picked. Also will a wood mirror look all right if it's the same color as the cabinet if I go with brushed nickel. The one light isn't the right finish but I would order it in the brushed nickel. I also think the countertop on this vanity might be the same as I am getting.

Personally, I would go with 2 mirrors, same shape, with a single pendant light over each (single bulb). But of course the decision is yours to make.

So only one light above each mirror.

I am also thinking rather then a wood mirror I should get a mirror with the same finish.

I would do one large mirror, with a wood border matching the cabinet, and I prefer the two lights on the left for the style of the cabinet/vanity.

We went with two frameless oval mirrors with lights over each. The mirrors swivel.

If I decide on one large mirror I will have to get probably a four or five vanity light. Decisions decisions. Within the next two weeks I will have to decide. Our lighting came in so much over the allowance it was ridiculous. We had 3700 and it came in at 5200. We will be getting most of our lighting ourselves. The builder has one place you go to pick lighting out. It is very expensive lighting.

Design is your choice. The bath lights we had when we moved in were horrible fluorescent lighting. DH who is handy with electrical things removed them and installed these. Also with a dimmer switch. This is the guest bath/pool bath. The master bath and my make up vanity area have three lights. I love taking a nice warm bath with the lights dimmed down.

I have one large mirror in the master bath. If I could switch to two separate mirrors, I would. You can't get away from yourself with a big mirror. It's also a lot of work cleaning it. I prefer a wood frame that compliments the vanity. Make sure you pay attention to wattage of the light. I didn't and have lights that are not as bright as I'd like. I have two 3 bulb lights above my big mirror.

What should I be looking for in wattage. I think the ones I showed are 60 watts.
