Glad you found something you liked. What would you do with the acorns?

I like this space.  It appears they went with the two sofas to avoid using a sectional.  I like the colors and feel of the room.  They either have a lot of family or entertain a lot.

I think they did the back to back sofa thing to incorporate the outdoor patio into the room.  It's in indoor/outdoor conversation area.

Re: Back to Back Seating Areas

I love large spaces but they must be warm and appealing with the furnishings and decor.  I wouldn't have couches back to back and in fact that definitely takes away from the room;s look.  I would rearrange the furniture and not have it all bunched together.  It needs to be emptied and redone and perhaps a different couch would help.

I don't really mind back-to-back sofas, which you tend to see more in very spacious English country houses, where cavernous rooms cry out for dividing the spaces and creating cozy areas...

Agree with you, @wilma , that the application here is not the best.  Also, the lined up ottoman, then the pair of stools right between that and the access to outside, is sort of representative of the needless crowding in that potentially terrific space!

Way too much stuff in the space.

Unless this is a place that always has a large number of people gathering, I don't see the point. It reminds me of the common area in a lodge or something similar. Not what I'd consider for a private home.

Re: Back to Back Seating Areas

Flip one of these groupings and you woud have the two couches facing each other across the same amount of floor space.  The side chairs could remain in the same position they are now.  Then you could have two conversation areas or one large one.
