That is a serious run of bad luck @Mominohio.  It always amazes me how everything seems to break down at the same time.  I hope your luck improves!

@Mominohio  That is a run of bad luck.  I'm having a similar run but with my body parts breaking down rather than household items.  I guess we will both have to be on our best spending budget behavior during CIJ.   Your good luck is having someone in your life who can repair things.

@Mominohio So this isn't a good time to ask how your tree removal project is goin, eh?  😁

Was thinking of you when I got a price for tree removal on my property.

Oh no! Not body parts! We need our health!

I'll take all the broken 'things' in trade for staying well. Hoping you will find things leveling off and stay healthy as well.

I don't intend to buy a single thing during CIJ (notice I said INTEND?)  but looking forward to watching just the same.

@Snowpuppy

Oh my! I feel your pain.

I've been meaning to post pictures here soon of the final steps. We are still in the clean up phase for the stump grindings. I will make a thread sometime this week with pictures.

But it has been a three year journey, and I hate to say only phase one of tree removal. We have others that will need to be done in the next several years, they are still healthy enough to stay while we recoup from this round, but it's one of those things that feels like it will never really be done.

But yeah, there is never enough money, and all the 'broke' stuff could have come at a time we weren't already broke from tree removal! LOL

My hubby is in to preventive maintainence - hoping to prevent break downs. However, sometimes the maintainence can also get expensive. Last week a man came to do yearly maintainence on our heat pump. It ended up costing $250 - and there was nothing wrong with it. Just replacing things that were showing wear & tear.

Look on the bright side. I now have to hire everything done or attempt myself and ends up costing double or looking amateur. I miss my husband everyday and at the time didn’t realize how much he took upon himself and I kind of took for granted but was always grateful.

So one day at a time. You will get there.

I'd bet that the TV issue is a bad cable.

@Mominohio

Wish I knew you.  I have an extra TV that I would happily give you.
